Gemini Lunar Ecipse – Authentic Power

We have a Gemini Lunar Eclipse on November 28. This is our last eclipse in 2012 and the final Gemini eclipse until June 2020. We have a loud noisy party going on. The planets, asteroids and stars are engaged in multiple conversations. There is a massive amount of information being shared. However, it is wise to use our discernment in what is relevant, useful and what can be ignored. Many people are feeling that we have just survived a severely intense Scorpio cycle. We are rising out of the dark and into the dawn of the new day. Freedom loving, optimistic and expansive Sagittarius is revealing glimpses of our bright future on the horizon. The Gemini Lunar eclipse is an opposition between the Sun (consciousness) and Moon (unconsciousness.) Oppositions create awareness’s that come to us externally. We can own our power and take responsibility for our choices and behavior. Or, we can project our patterns, our unconscious aspects of Self onto other people. We are at choice. The more we practice conscious awareness. We will see that the Law of Attraction matches our thoughts and feelings. In other words, the evolved soul recognizes that we create our reality from our thoughts and feelings. Humanity collectively creates our shared reality. This is the mass consciousness. On the other hand, people who are negative and constant complainers. They will not recognize that they too are creating their reality only unconsciously. The Gemini Lunar Eclipse will move into the shadow of the Earth for a few hours. The Moon has no light of its own. The light it reflects is from the Sun. During the Lunar Eclipse the Moon will be in the dark. This pulls us deep inside of Self. The Gemini Eclipse gives us the opportunity to go to the core of our being and discover who we truly are. We can live from our playful, joyful and authentic nature.Authentic power comes from our true essence, heart and fortitude. You are a powerful creator. Using our focused intention on what we desire to manifest, build and/or create. We can make our dreams real. The universe will support our highest good and the highest good for all concerned, for instance:♠What are your next best steps?♠What are your heart’s desires?♠What will strengthen you financially?♠What will build your inner power, passion, creativity and Love?♠What will increase your health, well-being, vitality and Joy?Venus, Mercury, Saturn and the North Node are in Scorpio during the Eclipse. Reminding us that as we emerge out of Scorpio’s ashes of the past. We are completing our 3D (third dimension) karma, karmic relationships and karmic initiations until 2013. We are processing pain, trust issues and betrayals. Yet, these negative emotions will fade into the mist with no lingering memories. As we move higher in vibration. We will be free from these ancient haunting happenings.”Memories of unpleasant experiences will eventually fade completely into the background of your consciousness, and in time be forgotten. Often the only thing that keeps them in your minds is the pain and distress experienced but once in the higher vibrations you will cease to bring them back.” ~ SaLuSa, Mike QuinseyThere is a Yod, a (Finger of God) pointing towards the Gemini Moon. The divine lovers Venus in Scorpio and Mars in Capricorn are sextile (pleasant opportunity). Venus and Mars are the legs in the Yod. The touchdown point of the Yod is the Moon. God is pointing at the Moon. The Yod message is that we are to live from our heart. Having an open heart heals Self and others. The ego tells us that it is not safe to live from love. If we do other people will take advantage of us. Or worse, people will make fools of us. That is the 3D limited thinking. The past does not equal the future. We are awakening. We are evolving. We are the new human being. We all desire to feel safe, secure, loved and respected. We are one human family. All Are One ~ Oneness Consciousness. We can nurture Self and others.♥Is it time for love and partnership?♥Is it time to expand in a new direction?♥If money was not a concern for you, what would you be doing?Saturn in Scorpio is showing us our weakest links. For instance, where have we been cutting corners? Saturn in Scorpio can reveal the ugly truth concerning a person, job, relationship and/or situation. What are we ignoring? Where are we out of our integrity? Saturn is the master teacher, supreme builder and judge. She will give us the step-by-step instructions to achieve lasting success and security. However, Saturn always exacts a price. There is a cost with Saturn. For instance, Saturn requires our integrity. Saturn demands patience, perseverance and determination to reach our goals.Saturn is the final dispositor of the Gemini Lunar Eclipse. In other words, Saturn is the planet that the rest of the planets “answer” to. She is like the final arbiter in a dispute. This is how we determine the Eclipse dispositor. We start with our Gemini Moon. Mercury rules Gemini. Mercury is in Scorpio. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto. Pluto and Mars are in Capricorn. Saturn rules Capricorn. Therefore, the final dispositor is Saturn the ruling planet of Capricorn. Saturn says “The buck stops here.” How much are we willing to invest in time, energy and money to reach our dreams? Are we willing to give it a hundred and ten percent? Saturn in Scorpio needs to know. Failure is not an option with Saturn. Mediocre is barely tolerated with Saturn. Hard work, sacrifice and commitment pay big dividends with Saturn. The Gemini Eclipse encourages us is to release the past. Let go of what no longer serves our soul evolution. This can be a job, relationship, beliefs and living location. We want to release our intense focus on illusory things – the worries and anxieties of daily living. This includes our own inadequacies. We can accept life the way it is by practicing the Law of Detachment:Law of Detachment:1) When it begins (relationship, job and situation) it is always right.2) Who shows up is exactly who needs to be there.3) What happens is the only thing that could have happened.4) When it is done. It is done.We are transiting through the last of the water and fire signs, Scorpio and Sagittarius. We are at the part of our journey where we are to achieve Self mastery over the lower ego emotions. Scorpio rules emotional truth. Sagittarius is the cosmic truth teller. The celestial message is to live by our truth, heart and our authentic nature. This creates inner peace. Our inner peace builds outer peace in our life and world. You are a powerful creator. We create our reality with our thoughts and feelings. Be the magician. Create inner peace to replace anxiety and fear. Merlin the magician teaches us to use our heart, mind and emotions to create what we desire. This empowers us to turn water into wine. We can achieve our goals in 2012 and 2013. What are you creating? The Gemini Eclipse is reminding us to celebrate our lives. We are heroes for being here at humanity’s and Earth’s graduation 12.21.12. The courage it takes for people to be willing to go through massive changes and growth in their lives is commendable. Life’s journey in 3D holds cycles of pain, stress, delays and frustration. Yet, if we expand our consciousness, we can rise above the negativity. We can begin to see that life can be pleasantly surprising. In the most wonderful ways, life gives us passion, JOY, and exhilaration beyond our wildest dreams. There is much to celebrate. You are awesome.”Take a walk in the brisk autumn air. Celebrate the seasonal changes you see around you as you celebrate the changes within you. There is much to celebrate.” ~ Ivo/Lisa DorrLove and Peace,Kelley Rosanohttp://www.kelleyrosano.com© 1995-2012 Kelley Rosano All Rights Reserved.

10 Reasons Why You MUST Improve the Environmental Performance of Your Business

1. You are wasting moneyBetween 2006 and 2008 I carried out simple half-day environmental health checks in 26 businesses ranging from catering through printing, engineering and construction to major pharmaceutical companies. I identified an average saving in waste, raw material, energy and water costs of £175,000 per annum, per company. And those health checks barely scratched the surface. One of my favourite definitions of waste is ‘anything you buy that you cannot sell’ . Savings from cutting waste (whether that is wasted materials, energy or water) comes straight off your bottom line. If your profit margin is 25%, every £1 saved in this way is equivalent to £4 worth of new sales. And unlike cutting staff, cutting waste costs improves rather than detracts from your ability to deliver value to your customers.2. The true cost of your waste can be immenseI despair at the number of businesses who go to great lengths to manufacture a high value product and then reverse a forklift truck into it or spill it on the floor during packaging. Most businesses know how much waste costs to dispose of, but the true cost of this type of waste is much higher as it includes:o Disposal costs;o Raw material costs;o Energy and other utility costs for manufacturing;o Labour costs both from the original manufacturing and the clean up;o The cost of the disruption required to fulfil orders including knock-on effects on other orders;o Opportunity costs of not being able to sell that product;o Opportunity costs from poor customer satisfaction (eg lost future orders).3. Your energy, water and waste costs are risingEnergy costs doubled between June 2007 and 2008. Waste costs continue to rise as landfill tax escalates and the type of materials that can be landfilled are restricted. Indications from the government are that it will continue increasing the Landfill Tax by £8 per tonne each year up to a level of at least £48 per tonne (from £32 per tonne today). In areas such as the South East of England, water resources are becoming ever more scarce so costs are rising. Doing nothing on environment performance means going backwards rather than standing still.4. Your customers or clients demand itIf you sell to the public, certain markets are going solidly green. The proportion of white goods rated A for energy efficiency sold has risen from 0 to 76% in the ten years to 2006. 70% of baby food sold in the UK is now organic. If you sell to other businesses, then your environmental performance becomes their environmental performance. Increasingly larger organisations are demanding information on suppliers’ performance and Local Authorities and other public sector bodies are turning to ‘green procurement’ to meet Government targets.5. Your compliance costs are risingThere are literally hundreds of pieces of environmental legislation being drafted in the EU and the UK Government. Continually shifting incrementally to keep ahead of the law is an expensive hobby whereas eradicating problems completely is cheaper in the long run and keeps you miles ahead of the lawmakers. Regulators such as the Environment Agency are increasingly taking a risk based approach to enforcement. If you routinely store hazardous materials, or they regard your practices as poor, they’ll be knocking on your door much more often than if you have eradicated the hazards and have tip top housekeeping.6. You may be risking prosecutionEvery three years the Environment Agency surveys small business’ attitudes to the environment. In 2005 only 18% could name one piece of environmental legislation that affects them, even though every company must comply with several pieces of legislation, for example, waste management regulations . And it is not just small business who are at risk. In the last year, I have had several arguments with major household names who have misunderstood the scope of the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE). I really had to browbeat them into accepting that they were breaking the law, faced prosecution and the resulting PR fall out.7. You are missing out on a great PR opportunityWith all the media attention on environmental issues, good environmental performance gives you a great opportunity to get good news stories into the media and advertising. Good solid green PR will impress the public, the pressure groups, your clients and customers and the regulators.8. Pressure groups may give you a nasty surprise In 2007, Apple Computers had it all. From their stylish iMac and MacBook computers to the revolutionary and must-have iPod and rumours of a phone abounding, their fashionable, cutting edge image appeared unassailable. That was until Greenpeace put them bottom of an environmental league table of electronics companies and set up a parody of Apple’s website to detail their environmental infractions . Apple’s legendary CEO Steve Jobs at first dismissed the campaign, but only instigated a stronger backlash . Jobs then realised the precarious position he was in, with Apple’s hip image at serious risk. He did a swift u-turn, launching a radical programme to improve environmental performance and publicised it on the company’s home page for a month. If you are a high profile business (eg a high street retailer, an energy company, a major construction company, a motor manufacturer, a producer of household goods or in the primary sector – mining, oil, gas, forestry etc), then you are at direct risk from environmental and human rights pressure groups. These groups need high profile campaigns like the Apple example to make the mainstream media take notice and are always looking for a ‘tall poppy’ to target. If you are a smaller business, but you do business with a high profile client, then pressure groups will hold them responsible for your environmental sins. This is a very easy way to lose a major customer.9. Your staff want you to do itEnvironmental and CSR initiatives are a determining factor in employee retention and engagement rates according to the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD). In the US, a survey of over 4,000 people carried out by recruitment job site MonsterTRAK found that 80 per cent of young professionals are interested in securing a job that has a positive impact on the environment. Meanwhile, over 90 per cent claimed they would prefer to work for an environmentally friendly employer. In the UK, a survey of 5,000 job hunters showed that 43% would not work for a firm which had no ethical or environmental policies, even if they were offered £10,000 a year more than to work for a business with a sense of corporate social responsibility.10. Your competitors are doing itThe 2005 NetRegs survey found that 71% of businesses had made at least one practical step to improve their environmental performance . Some sectors have seen green issues come right to the fore eg the current great green supermarket wars where Marks & Spencer, Tesco and Sainsbury’s are fighting it out to get the best green image. Sir Timothy Leahy went on the record this year to say that Tesco’s plans would not be affected by the ‘credit crunch’ as he believed consumers’ values would not change . He sees this as a serious part of maintaining Tesco’s competitive advantage over its rivals. If your competitors have a better environmental performance than you, then compared to you they will:o Have lower operating costs and either a higher profit margin or a more competitive pricing structure;o Be more robust to future change: new legislation, green taxation, and customer demand;o Have better PR and marketing opportunities;o Have better motivated employees and will be attracting the best new recruits;o Have less risk of prosecution, NGO campaigns and a lighter touch from the regulators.Well, they’d be mad not to, wouldn’t they?

Photography Goes From Polaroid Swingers To Picture Perfect Sony Cameras

Last week-end, while house cleaning, I ran across a large box of old pictures that my Mother used to toss all of her photos. She used to keep pictures nicely arranged in scrape books. Hundreds of photos of birthdays, holidays, vacations, school pictures, and family gatherings. My Mother had retired to Florida, and my four sisters and I, we all lived in different states. We all kept her up to date with our lives through pictures. As the years went by, Mom had accumulated tons of pictures. She stopped scrape booking, and began to throw them all in one big box. Going through the pictures, I began to notice that many of the photographs taken before 1950, were very similar. Hardly any action shots here, everyone just stood and posed. Or maybe, you sat down in a chair and posed. Our family only had a few pictures, and they were black and white. In 1967 Polaroid introduced the world to the Polaroid Swinger. It was $19.99. The commercial had one of the most memorable jingles ever written. These black and white photos have stood the test of time. In my Mother’s box, there were a few of the photos taken with this instant camera. The preservation is remarkable.

Fast forward to my high school days, around 1972. Kodak Company comes out with the 110 Instamatic camera, that used a square flash cube. You had to buy the film and the flash separate. Then drop the film off at a drug store to get it developed. What a pain. Around the same time, Polaroid introduces The One Step SX-70. It was white, with a rainbow-colored strip in the front. This camera gave you an instant picture that came out through the front of the camera. You had to shake the picture so it could develop. Everyone wanted that camera. They were very popular. Now, here is the part of the story where old school meets new school. Recording Artist, Outkast,”Andre 3000″ sings a song, called “Hey Ya”. One of the lines in the song, he sings, “shake it like a Polaroid picture”. Yes, shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it.” The video scene has the look of the old American Bandstand television show with Dick Clark. Girls are screaming and dancing. A couple of the dancers, are taking pictures with this Polaroid camera. If you were a teen during that time, it really takes you back. Today’s photography and video mixes up the old with the new.In my family, we take a lot of pictures. We take pictures of every thing we do. Then we turn the pictures into slide shows or videos. We rarely print pictures anymore, we simply save them on the computer. We also submit some of our best pictures to online photo submission sites, where you can sell your images and videos for others to use. We recently upgraded our camera, and bought The Sony Alpha SLT-A55V. SLT stands for single lens translucent. There are videos about this camera, nothing as exciting as Andre 3000, but this camera is really nice. This Sony SLT has many features. It has an electronic viewfinder with 1.15 million dot resolution, built-in GPS, dual-purpose memory stick/SD card slot. According to Sony’s official website, this camera is the world’s first DSLR that you can shoot and focus at the same time. This camera transforms the way DSLR cameras work. Sony boast that you will experience best in class speed 3, up 10 fps continuous shooting fixed at the full 16.2MP resolution with exposure fixed at the first frame.

Photography can take you around the world in a minute. And if you are looking through old photographs, you could end up in another decade. That’s the beauty of this new world of taking pictures.

Are Cell Phones and the Internet the Wild Irish Rose of the 2010s?

Last summer (August 2009) I came across and article on internet addiction in the New York Times, focusing on how the internet permeates everyday family life, often intruding upon the face to face activities that traditionally connect members of a household together. Although in may cases the behavior is not considered an obsession, it is growing exponentially to the point that the editors of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), published by the American Psychiatric Association, are considering including internet addiction, and internet gaming addiction in the 5th edition due out in the spring of 2013.There are legions of people who can’t start the day without reaching for their cell phones, their laptops, checking email, voice mail, text messages, twitter accounts – or whatever else they are into. There is a fine line between needing to be connected because of your job or family situation, and needing to be connected because you are obsessed with being connected. There are also those who use this technology as a substitute for face to face interaction. An example of this is the parent who uses a cell phone to wake their teen in the morning. Rather than walking upstairs to their kid’s bedroom, they’ll call or text message the wake up. Often these are the same parents who harangue their kids about the amount of time they spend on the internet. As an addiction treatment professional, I am most interested in how we as a society will categorize the various use levels of communication technology. What will be considered normal internet/cell phone use and what will be considered obsessive or pathological use? Initial studies are now being launched that are taking a close look at functional MRI’s and PET scans of individuals who exhibit these compulsive behaviors, and I believe these will show the same sort of anomalies in the same reward reinforcement circuitry in the brain, in the same dysfunctions in the control circuitry of the brain that we see with other addictions. In my opinion, this has the potential to become a wide spread compulsion because unlike drugs, alcohol and gambling – there is easy, legal, and relatively inexpensive access. In addition to the societal downside of people obsessed with being “connected” via technology rather than “in real life” – is the real danger of harming others because someone’s attention is elsewhere. Most of us have experienced having to share the road with a driver who hasn’t a clue as to what is going on around him or her because they are totally engaged in a phone conversation or are busy answering a text message. Studies show a driver talking on the phone has the same limited abilities as someone driving under the influence of alcohol. Fortunately many states recognize the danger associated with this behavior and had the wisdom to pass laws requiring hands free phone use. It will be interesting to see how these laws are enforced, especially when it comes to texting while driving – an even more dangerous behavior. Will people be locked up for driving under the influence… of their cell phone? This is a subject that like technology itself – will unfold in the weeks and months to come.
